I stand at the edge of the world, feeling the soft winds of the void. Whatever possessed me to bring you here… I can feel their sickly sweet calls. I can hear them circle in the darkness. Oh, how they salivate for you my friend. They are speaking to me in a cacophonous chorus of whispers. Begging me to comply and cast you in.
Yet you remain ignorant to the impasse we're in. Content within this, soon to be, violently upturned haven.
The fight to preserve sanity, versus those who destroy the sane, is taking its toll. Subtle urges grow and make me feel driven to let go and gorge with them. Lurking horrors have long rendered me catatonic with dread and mute with despair. Panic shatters my resolve and sends me, screaming, from that hill. You're forgotten. …and when you scream they'll descend.
I fled from that place; scattered and deranged. I know not, what's ahead. A nightmare ensues in the torchlight behind me. As the pitch of night sets in and ushers in the end, I begin to realize I've offered you to them. A frantic search for salvation, the end of which I see. I forsake this godless world and tether my throat to the trees.
